SINK THE BATTLESHIP
What an afternoon I've had. Ive been playing SH3 since 2005 and today I finally sank a Battleship 36,000 tons!!!
I was cruising on my second patrol Nov 1939 going through the English Channel near Plymouth when I came across a convoy with HMS Nelson in the middle. I was in shallow water 57 metres but thought I have to have a go. The convoy also had two Destroyers one leading and one behind. By this time I was on the edge of my seat trying to contain my excitement. Hands were shaking whilst I set the firing controls. Let go a salvo of four torpedoes..............!!!! Four hits!! I waited in anguish for it to sink! Took about ten minutes for her to go down meanwhile I was being depth charged by the two destroyers who wanted revenge. After an hour we got away with slight damage to the Hull and Flak gun. I've been feeling like a hero all afternoon. Like Gunther Prien. Looking for my Knights Cross when I get back to base. |
