Each submarine has several sets of files in the Game \Data \Objects folder for the various conning towers, such as "Conning_Balao_01" and "Conning_Balao_02". However, their equipment is controlled in the Game \Data \UPCData \UPCUnitsData \UnitParts#SubName.upc file, such as "UnitParts3Balao.upc" - Notice that each file will have a section devoted to each of those conning towers listed in the Objects folder, under heading such as "[UnitPart 1]" and "[UnitPart 2]", etc., as the number applies to each of the available conning towers in Objects. You want to find the section
[UnitPart 1.UpgradePackSlot 1]
ID= UpgAAGun
at the bottom of each of those sections, and change the
AcceptedTypes=USMGAA, USLightAA, USHeavyAA, USLightAA2, SHeavyAA2
line as appropriate for your gun name, and change the "call" lines, such as
IDLinkUpgradePackSlotsIntervalDefault1= NULL, 1942-05-01, .50cal Machine Gun
as necessary for the gun you are using. If all you are using is the one gun, you only need one line calling it, and can make the date range NULL, NULL if desired.
