There's a long post waiting in the wings about Neil, the Sennheiser Vocoder (and why he used it), Trans, and David Geffen. I'll get around to it some day (unless vienna wants to take a shot at it) .

Trans has gone on to be seen as one of Neil's "high brow" concept albums but that wasn't how it was seen when the album launched. It tanked.
