Icon14 A nice, clean build.

A good video on how build a clean kit plus the idea that a smaller scale doesn't mean less detail.

Some things to note that we can all use:

-Using "low tack" masking tape to protect delicate parts during assembly.

-Using acrylic paint as p/e-to-plastic glue. Thicker acrylics shrink during drying and also provide a fairly strong join. This is a very handy tip I've used in the past with very small photo etch.

-Using "stretched sprue" as a seam filler. It ain't just for wires, anymore. OK, it isn't that novel, but did you think of it first?

I used to build and collect Tamiya 1/700 scale IJN ships and submarines when I was a lot younger but nothing to that incredible standard above.

Yeah, it will take a while for me to get to that stage!
I can barely put small pieces on a model without my hand shaking!

Great video. I have to say I don't attempt anything less than 1/350 on subs, I have caveman hands.

Having meticulously rigged a few: CuttySark, a USS Constitution and HMS Victory and the Bounty; I'd need a jeweler's loupe and Excederin to even attempt that 'lil bugger!
