Default Silent Hunter 2

I was thinking of buying Silent Hunter 2 but I have been put off by the fact that it does not have an open ended campaign like SHIII which I have come to know and love. What are the main differences between SHIII and SHII, and are there any mods that create a sort of open ended campaign in it?

If your system can run SH3, don't bother looking at SH2, trust me.

You can read details and review about SH2 here: http://www.subsim.com/ssr/sh2/review..._hunter_ii.htm

Yeah. Hitman is on the money and I'm speaking as someone who loved Sh2 way back. Fact is, there is no earthly reason not to pick up SH3 over SH2 unless you're collecting old sub games or you cannot live without the ability to manually rig for red or order electrics on the surface.

Then buy the double pack of SH2/SH3 through this web site. DRM free and only $10.00.

Or have somebody with Destroyer Command that you can multiplay with.

Yeah. Got me on that one. I think I liked the surface stuff more than the sub stuff. Nothing like throwing dozens of depth charges to spoil someone's afternoon. I might have to dig it out again.
