In short: creating new playable units is not an easy task, and the proprietary format used by SH5 for storing 3D stuff, is making things even more complicated. Vdr1981 has recently added to his megamod (called The Wolves of Steel) an anti-aerial version of the U-boat VII-C (the famous U-Flak), obtained by combining several stock files, some of them discontinued by devs. More playable units are possible in theory, but there is just an handful of modders who are still modding SH5, and I don't think new units, especially playable submarines, will be released anytime soon. |
