Bye, Troll.
The most frequently heard reason is that Microsoft no longer supports Windows 7,that's the truth.Since 2020,more and more people have left Windows 7 and switched to Windows 10,Linux or other OS,but personally, Windows 10 is relatively more stable.

Default Welcome aboard!

Finsem! I too 'upgraded'; but only by default as my WIN 7 computer recently totally died after 10+ years, 2 of which I was advised constantly of "a detected disk problem". I'm still alarnin' all the new-fangled WIN 10 crap...and wishin' I still had WIN 98 with all my favorite games. Being in the 21 st century at age 70 is a technical pain in the arse!

Actually, Windows 10 with all the updates is the best Windows I've experienced, minus the doink UI, which Classic Shell still remedies. But as far as error, crashes, BSOD, no issues.

I still play 3D pinball on my Win 10 laptop. This pic is from a couple days ago:

Have to agree, no BSDs, no major failures.
But there is not only one Win 10, apart from home, professional and enterpise there are all those internal "factory" versions like ... 19 and now ...20, making especially udates unneccesarily difficult with anything than main stream hardware.
And you cannot stop Win 10 to telephone home all the time changing and adapting you PC's OS and transfer your data. Certainly alll for your safety and wellbeing no doubt. The enterprise "edition" is the only one where this can be stopped - they say. And this edition is a bit high-priced.

See it through businesses eyey and read some tech administrators websites. They hate it, and it still causes them plenty of problems (that in a private gamer household maybe are not that much a big issue, but in big companies). And evefy four weeks, if not more often, the disruptive flokd of new faulty patches. I have friends in Dortmund, who both are iIT admins in the city administration. I still read woody Leonhards website. They dispise MS and they absolutely dislike W10. Bitter mockery still around everywhere.

Personally I do not forgive the assassination of anonymity and privatesphere. And I never will.

A 'normal' middle class enterprise with less than 10 workers cannot afford a Microsoft server, licences and client software anymore. And even with more than 10 it has to make a hell of a lot of sales and revenue just to pay for this.

There are always city and state administrations that Microsoft can milk with hilariously high yearly licensing fees for its software. Thats why it lobbies in political parties that hard, to have politicians waste public fundings for it. The money would be better spend on Linux compatabile needed applications that then would year for year reduce dependency on Windows and Microsoft.

But since when can politicians count beyond three years. Its already a bonus if they can pronounce "four". The meaning of it they rarely understand, becasue everybody knows that after three comes election year.

But while America has its computer giants, we have our moral missions. Those poor sods will soon understand what they are missing in selfulfillment. I mean we are waiting so long for that now, sooner or later it must happen now. Could be just any moment. Money and power is not everything in life.

Now that Trump is out of the way. Money and Power is everything, Agenda 2030 will go into full blast. This world wide pandemic was always in the cards. There had to be a way to demolish the world's economies. For the big restart, And have no one to go to war with. The world's computer giant's are right there in bed with these "Actors" it is u and i and a million's of grains of sand that believe in a moral mission that is lost. So indulge in self fulfillment while you can. It only took China 75yrs. to overtake and come out on top of every western superpower country. That spent hundreds of years getting to 1945. I now believe in cosmic intervention. Or there is a conspiracy among the ruling governments of this planet for world domination. So before i am forced to be a sheep i'm going to indulge myself. I might even get to visit Germany before they take my coins and chip my brain.
