[REL]Big Destroyer-Pack for SH4

Hello Captains,

now i release the DD´s i have build for "Fall of the rising sun V2.0" as an standalone-mod cause the work on FOTRS v2.0 will take a while.
So the whole SH4 community can use this part of FOTRS from this moment on.

This DD-Mod was made for bothe versions of SH4 ( v1.4/v1.5UBM ).
It should run with every kind of bigmod like TMO and so on.
You only have to edit the name.cfg in your Roster for naming this new units.


Following units are content of this mod.

For the US Navy :

- Porter Class
- Porter Class Late War ( USS Selfridge and USS Muffin )
- Benson/Gleaves Class
- Benham Class
- Bagley Class
- Mahan Class
- Allan M. Sumner Class
- Fletcher Class <------- replaces origin Fletcher Class
- Gearing Class
- Sims Class
- Tacoma Class Frigatte
- Big Patrol Boat
- APD Manley Class

For the IJN :

- Akatsuki Class
- Akizuki Class Late War
- Fubuki Class Type I <------ replaces the origin SH4 Fubuki
- Fubuki Class Type II
- Kagero Class
- Yugumo Class
- Hatsuharu Class
- Shimakaze Class
- Shiratsuyu Class <------ replaces the origin SH4 Shiratsuyu
- Kamikaze Class
- Momi Class
- Wakatake Class

The German Kriegsmarine now got an Z-Class DD Type Z36 Narvik.

This Mod also contents some new guns and torpedomounts like the 5 tube-launcher for the US Navy and the IJN and the open 5inch gun for the 1930s US 1500tons DD´s like the Bagley, Benham and Mahan.
All DD´s got an new visual sensor to see you better and from a longer range.
The Gunpower is higher so you better have to dive when you detect an DD
The Loadoutvariation from some IJN DD´s is changeable in the Editor to a AA-Version.

The package is JoneSoft Mod Enabler ready and includes library files, containing gun mounts and torpedo launchers.

Installation :

First you have to make a copy of your names.cfg in your roster.
Edit this copy with following entrys :

difrent names, but some looks the same as other ship.

All IJN Destroyer looks different, same to USN DD´s !

@ seaplate hitman

FOTRS V2.0 got many new effects ( red flares fired by sinking ships ), much more ships ( 10 new Merchants ), reworked campaign, better and harder Ki, new Sounds ( Gunsounds, Planesounds and Speachfiles spoken out by your crew ), long range firing BB´s and Cruisers ( firing at good sight over 15.000 Meters ) but FOTRS V2.0 is under construction, not available in the moment.

First of all thank you for this achievement very successful, I install and view in the museum no problem, just a note on the DD U.S. lower fluidity of the image


I hope the rest of the project will be of the same quality, restores interest in the game

I take it just changes the ships and won't effect traffic. I've used a few of your ships in RSRD that weren't included and had to add them in the traffic layers, so I assume these ships that makeover existing ships will just replace the ship and you don't have to add them to traffic. However, I'm not sure all these types exist in RSRD, but I'll check.

Be interesting to know the loadout changes compared to TMO and RSRD and what changes you made to the visuals. With TMO2.1 visuals and gun ranges obvious are adjusted, all ships merchants or warships now shoot at you from longer ranges. DD's and large warships up to 5nms, so wonder if you're is longer range than that.

These look so good, so hope they will work with RSRD. I would love your other merchants even if I have to add them to traffic.

Hi Armistead,

if you get problems with fireranges in TMO its very easy to change the settings to TMO standard.

You only have to give the DD´s the visual sensor from TMO by changing the entrys for the visual ( O01 ) in the sns-file of every DD !
