Default AXE

Just found this on page 9 of the 2007 almanac (didn't i help edit that book? ).

"Everybody was tired after daily extra hours and weekends at work. In this period the best game developer was "AXE."

AXE being "a fictional character haunting game development in critical times before release."

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!
Yes, "Axe" considered by Florin the best developer: AXE was the dev that chopped out parts of the game that were unfinished and could not be finished in time to ship.

Nice work, Daryl! PS: PM me your new address, your Christmas card returned undelivered.

Late to the party, but it was "215" on the title screen for the Amiga version.

That would explain Jim's haircut.

It could explain it. However, you should have seen Danlisa's resultant haircut. I think he wanted to shoot me in the face for a while.

Great photoshop skills, ....(aide comes over and whispers in my ear)...what? Well, all right.

We will accept your answer as well, since we did not specify whether the number on the tower was in game or on the title screen/packaging.

Note: two answer are all we can accept for this question, so if someone finds a Timex/Sinclair version of Silent Service with another number, sorry.
