I have to ask... why are we giving this blithering idiot any of our time or consideration?

That's why.

Frankly, I'm surprised the Submariner veterans aren't more offended that they were portrayed in such a disgusting manner rather then their actual experience & contributions. But as the movie stated, only 10,000 survived & likely most of those are gone. So there is really no one to defend their real services & experience. This movie made the Germans look like filthy, incompetent clowns. Even realizing the heinous nature of the nazi's in that war, this movie does not accuratey begin to depict their naval servicemen or submariner crew as shown in this movie.

The only way to watch this movie is to bypass side one entirely & watch side 2 with the fast forward on the remote. I would be just repeating myself to say more. This movie is what it is with 2 hours of the grossest behavior imaginable & another hour of painfully slow scenes. Nothing will make it better except extreme editing.
We need to chip in and buy her a copy of this:

I think "Midge" is really Neal and he's rick-rolling us.

There's a brilliant episode of "Peep Show" where Mark, on a date with Sophie thinks it would be a good idea to show her Das Boot. She is obviously not interested in the film. About two hours through this becomes apparent to Mark when she suddenly exclaims "Oh! They're on a submarine!"

Not a chick flick...

Most women don't like war movies. Not enough excitement in them for women because they're all into all that mushy romance stuff that makes men want to run to the closest toilet to vomit.

Trust your girlfriend/wife to pick a good movie and she comes back with "Magic Mike"... See if you don't qualify for permanent and total disability from PTSD (recurring nightmares/flashbacks/suicidal ideation) after THAT! And the feminazis say men are sexually objectifying women?! The definition of feminist should be hypocrite.

She is the kind of selfish, self centered, spoiled brat that is common to the upper classes in America. Her opinion is the only one that counts and she will turn on you like a snake if you don't agree with her. She will complain about things she doesn't like but won't get her hands dirty trying to fix anything. She doesn't mind the Military as long as she doesn't have to associate with any of them. She is what I would call a "throw away". Nobody will miss her when she is gone.

No she would even give that a bad review and not for the reasons we would. Need to look if she has rated Twilight thats more for her sissy pampered brain. Anything that makes her think is dumb to her
