Breach door, clear room with flash grenade, Point will head to section A, open door, check for the little light, reach in for the objective and pour objective into glass.

Mission accomplished.

That would require something sorely lacking in the gaming industry these days....creativity.

Lock On Flaming Cliffs 2 Su-25 Grach CAS strike against German IFVs near Krasnodar Kuban region USSR 1989.

My flight was the second flight of the three hence the already destroyed hulks.

Pulling away from my first pass I got my target sometimes you have a bad day other times you have a good one this was a good day for me.I killed two Marder IFVs and one M113APC that was in a road formation.One pass for each before rounds where completed.The AI tends to pull one pass and then split.
We only took a few minor hits from the 20mm cannon shells fired by the Marder IFVs.

Next a tail camera style view of my wing mans pass he killed two Marder IFVs with rockets in two passes and a third Marder IFV with a gun run.

"Uh, guys... guys... GUYS! Time to get the safety car out I think."
It took another four laps for a full course yellow and a deployed safety car

@Stealhead
Marders would never move around in such open terrain.
We nicknamed them Jungle Taxis because they are always looking for trees and other things for cover.

@Dowly
Let me guess, in the next two seconds you got killed by the almighty Wabbit.

I know I did not design the game I just play it.That being said in that region of Russia there are not very many trees to hide under so no option for concealment.The game also makes up for that by having a fairly healthy amount of Gepards,Stinger MANPADS,Rolands,and Hawk batteries present.The Rolands in particular are very difficult to evade successfully.

That is the first mission in the campaign and in it the Germans are making a heavy push and stretched thin.In every other mission it is fairly difficult to hit your target and walk away undamaged if you plane even manages to hit the target at all.

On the next mission I just managed to hit two M109 paladins in return I got hit by two stingers which destroyed the left engine and all of my electrical generators as well as knock dozens of holes in my fuel cells and I ran out of fuel far from base and had to eject over friendly territory.

Sounds exciting.

Back in the olden days games had tons of very clever Easter eggs.A good example the Fallout(first title 1997) series they call the item that makes you more intelligent Mentats.Mentats comes from a type of human in Dune who are highly intelligent and can think like computers.They drink something called sapho juice which greatly increases their abilities.So in Fallout they have that little Easter egg where the drug that makes you smarter for a time are called mentats. That is just one example of an old school game that has many clever Easter eggs.It was not uncommon back then.

^ Yeah, that. And there just were a ton of them. Build engine games (Duke 3D, Shadow Warrior, BLOOD etc.)
usually had easter eggs based on movies or other games. Like in Duke 3D you can
find the dead "Doom guy" or dead Luke Skywalker from an ice cave. Shadow Warrior
has the above killer rabbit from MP's Holy Grail, you can find Lara Croft chained up and so on.

Always liked BLOOD's easter eggs, only can remember two: You can find frozen
Jack Nicholson as you are navigating through a snowy maze (Shining).
Another one is the room from the movie Seven where the killer kept the
guy after he had chopped off his hands and legs.

This could really be its own thread but if I could think of one thing that is to blame for how the typical video/PC today is less creative than they where 12 to 20 years ago it would be demographics.

Everyone is so obsessed with demographics because they think this is the best way to sell the most products.The thing is by trying to please everyone you wind up with something shallow because it tries to be too many things.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall of the meetings when Ubisoft was talking about the next Brothers in Arms and they went with that utter crap concept they had Brothers in Arms:Furious Four.I would have been a mosquito carrying Malaria so I could infect the stupid morons who thought that was a good idea.Just read this article with one of the game developers his excuse was they had run out of ideas...really read freaking history book Battle of the Bulge you twit or even in the last game the guy with the glasses that you see in flashbacks he says "I hope you like snow" I guess he was talking about cocaine not the snow during the Battle of the Bulge.

That is why I like Kickstarter it allows someone to have a niche idea and get the money from the ones who actually want the product.If you get enough money you can get investors to give you more because you prove to them that your game is wanted by a demographic group so much that they will give money to support it.

The same can be said about other form of entertainment movies for example.
