If Malwarebytes hasn't rectified it (i use the PRO version) then try TDSSKiller (it's by Kaspersky so it's legit!)

These are both hosted by Bleepingcomputer - these guys write programs for defeating Malware and are the good guys - i'm an IT tech and i trust these guys! used both these program previously with good results

Steve, disable the Windows Restore Function, if you did not so far. Windows XP keeps restoring deleted necessary files while booting, even if they are as necessary as malware files. As long as the function is enabled, you won't get rid of it...

If the tools are not finding anything - then "danasan" is onto something, system restore could be restoring infected/malcious files!
