Kriegsmarine Enigma Sim Update
There's a new update (v5.0) of the freeware Enigma Simulator. The included versions are extended with the Kriegsmarine M3 (Funkschlussel M), there's an Enigma type label when the cover is open, and you can now lock the rotors for testing and cryptanalysis.
You can now use three versions: 3-rotor Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe Enigma, 3-rotor Kriegsmarine M3, and the famous 4-rotor Kriegmarine M4 Enigma cipher machine. http://users.telenet.be/d.rijmenants/en/enigmasim.htm There's also a new page on Kurzsignale, the U-boat procedures on sending Enigma messages. All you wanna know about U-boat secrets, but were afraid to ask http://users.telenet.be/d.rijmenants/en/kurzsignale.htm Update: Just finished an article on the breaking of an M4 message by Stefan Krah, and the story of U-264, a real thriller! http://users.telenet.be/d.rijmenants/en/m4project.htm Happy Codings , Dirk |

That's by far the best looking and most interesting/informative Enigma sim I've seen! I used to link to a different Enigma sim on my "Further Readings and Fun" ( http://www.dtek.chalmers.se/~d97jorn...rreadings.html ) page of my "eMail Encryption for the Lazy" site, but I just updated the page to link to your site instead.
Thanks for providing the site and the sims! |

There is an iPad Enigma simulator which covers 3 versions, including the M4 Kriegsmarine 4 rotor version. Is this the same thing but for PCs?
