Default FreeMantle and Darwin

When sneaking into Freemantle and Darwin to pick of some merchants i noticed that all the ships were clipped with other ships and making that painfull noise of ships clashing. Bother ports had the same problem. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled to see if it would make any difference but nothing happened. Has anyone encountered this problem?

I've seen exactly the same problem. Apparently anytime two ships rub together, the game plays the the collision sound effect. This is true even of your own rubber raft coming alongside...

What is the problem ? Isn't it normal that you hear something when two massive ships ran into eachother?

Not if they're at rest and happen to touch. And especially not when a rubber raft bumps the hull.

its not that they happen to collide! every ship in the dock is doubled with the same ship and they are clipped into each other. thats the main problem. just thought i would add the painfull collision noise.

IF it becomes to anoying you can try to remove it from your SH4 sound folder.

Make sure you don't delete it, but nothing can stop you

Euhm i don't now wich is the colliding sound in the SH4 folder, but I use the colliding sound wich was located in a sound mod for SH3.

The Thomsons Sound mod, I used quite some of the sounds and mixed or used them, (edited mainly) for own use.

I'm gonna check if they're the same. If I find the SH3 colliding sound less anoying i'll let you know, then you can always give your email adres, maybe i can upload it or something Never uploaded a file before. Only some Word files and pictures via email.

EDIT: Yes the SH4 collision sound is very anoying after listening it for 2 times. The Thomsons collision sound is less loud (in the game) and you can listen to it for several times without getting anoyed really.

You want it ?
Give me your email adres and i will send you the sound file . You just have to replace it with the file in this folder : /C > Program Files > Ubisoft > Silent Hunter > Data > Sound ( in my case)

P.S. Just had the collision sound going on under water

My sub on the front

Cheers
