Silent Hunter 3 Won't Un-pause

Hi,

Ive installed Silent Hunter 3 but as soon as i try to play a career, single mission etc, the game loads but wont let me unpause. Ive tried the + and -, the unpause button.

If anyone has any advice, id really be grateful.

A file called main.cfg in mydocuments/sh3/data/cfg (career data folders) has become corrupt. Copy and paste main.cfg from programfiles/ubisoft/silenthunterIII/data/cfg in the above folder to overwrite and repair. This has saved me many a career with exactly the same problem.

Any idea what triggers the corruption?

Any bluescreen problems during saving and loading. Unsafe shutdowns and/or power failures during saving or loading. CTD during saving or loading can cause corruption but its not always the case. If the hardrive is reading your careers folders and is interrupted due to the above reasons it seems to damage the files. I keep a back up of all of the career folder post patrol to repair such issues but the main.cfg file fortunately is duplicated in the main program folder. Main rule to follow is back up, back up and back up some more. I learnt that from sailor steve.
