radar New sailor reporting in from France

Hi everyone!

My history with submarine simulators go back to 2005, when I saw the box of SH3 at the game store. This game truly blowed my mind at that time, I was already reading all the books I could find about WW2 since I was 14 and in 2005, I was in my first year of learning History at the university. I was a bit disappointed that WW2 was not at all teached at the university so when I found out about SH3 I got really caught by the game, I've never felt so immersed in a game before. It was truly the beginning of a love story.

Even today, whenever I read or watch anything about WW2 (and that's almost every day) I still get that call of the deep, that chilling sound of the deep sea trying to crush my sub.

I tried playing again recently but the constant baby sitting of the crew really bored me, I've become lazy. I only played vanilla SH3 and just learned today from the steam community hub that there's apparently a handful of awesome mods that could make the game interesting again for the 2021 myself.

In the process, I also learned about the Subsim community so here I am, reporting for duty and thrilled to be part of this community.

I also really recently tried UBOAT and it really looks promising if the devs keep up the good work. I'd also love to find a good U-Boat Fleet management game, but I don't think that exist yet even If I hope you can prove me otherwise.

Thanks for having me.
