Dunno ask those bakers who refused to make a cake for an event that violated their religious beliefs. They weren't so "free".

Good point. I don't have an answer for that handy.

Well the political double standards aside, personally I think that government telling a private company to deny or inhibit the rights and freedom of it's citizens is the same thing as if they did it themselves. Its one thing when you're talking about just a social platform but a far greater threat when it affects peoples livelihoods.

Maybe the same way they get social media companies to ban conservative voices, simply by asking them to do it. Does it matter?

Got my first booster and third shot of Moderna today. Plus the normal flu shot in the other arm. If I'm a sick pup by tomorrow it won't be a surprise, normal flu shots usually whack me a bit.

Well, I got the second Moderna vaccine Friday and let me tell you.....
Felt fine coming from the pharmacy at 5:30pm. Had dinner as usual, spent a good evening. Then, by about 8AM Saturday - terrible fever and chills. Sweating like a pig, not knowing whether to take off or put on more blankets. 10AM Saturday - fever and chills worse, now with severe muscle aches. I'm barely able to get out of bed. By now I'm parched, and drinking a lot to replace lost fluid. 6PM Saturday - I've been in and out of consciousness, falling asleep and waking up maybe a dozen times. I've started feeling a little bit better, so I have dinner. 11:30PM Saturday - After drinking a little more I wake up with nausea - quickly gets worse and worse - violent retching & vomiting about half an hour later. 8:00AM - So far, an OK day - nausea almost gone, and body temperature nearly back to normal.

One of my Work Mates had a similar thing with his second shot last week.
He said it only lasted a day though. I had no reactions at all to both shots. Not even a sore arm. Go figure.

Got my 2nd shot on Saturday (Moderna)
Sunday I was drifting in and out of sleep, mild flu like aches all over. Today all fine, just mild pain where the needle went in, just like the first time, and I expect it to be gone in a couple more days, just like the first time. |

Glad to hear you're feeling at least a little bit better. Get lots of rest and stay hydrated.

Got my booster shot today. So far no side effects. Even when I got my second shot, I felt a little "ugh" but that's all.
A number of my co-workers missed work after getting their second shot so it is understandable that some of them are reluctant to get the booster. Despite the current recommendations, I am still going to wait 14 days before getting my Flu shot. No real need to rush that. Mid Oct was when I was planning on it anyway.

My first Pfizer shot put me down for about a week or two, but the second shot only slightly discomfited me for a day or two; I had a much, much more severe reaction to my shingles vaccine (out about 6 weeks), so the Covid shots were mild in comparison...
I won't be able to get my booster til December, but I am looking forward to it... <O>

Turned out that this booster knocked me on my butt.
But it passed in about a day. Weird that the other shots had no or minimal effect, but this one did. Still glad I got it
