Default Übersetzung bitte?

Hallo, This video had no sound, I added the best quality track available and would also like to add English subtitles to complete some history for the internet, if someone could help?
(I only have 1 semester of German in school & lived in Aschaffenburg for 2 years, 1990-92.)

-Tim

Hello Tim,

with many thank's to deepl https://www.deepl.com/de/translator

here the translation.

00:00:07:13
chrashfight-bomberattack to a militarily important railroad junction

00:00:28:10

Under heavy Polish defensive fire, the Stuka plunges steeply toward the railroad facilities and is aiming with the whole aircraft.

00:00:53:10
A few hundred meters above the target the bomb will be released, the plane will be intercepted from the fall and righted again.

Greetings from Uli

Hi Uli,

Thank you for the link to deepl. I've never seen something like that and I have a lot to learn!

Hello Tim,

please excuse a little error in the translation.
I'm not shure the expression in the second part is :
the entire plane or
the whole plane

so I changed my 1st post.

You see, with all help of modern media, the human factor has a bit value

Greetings from Uli

Hi Uli,

No problem, I don't really see it as an "error". I think that there are variations and creative choices that can be made. I would choose "whole plane".

However, since the narrator says "machine" I think I might subtitle it "whole machine", as kind of a German/English mix that looks and sounds good on the screen.

Thanks again for your help. I just started working on the edit again today and it's looking good.

I'd like to add something to the translation without using a translator:

1. Stuka/dive bomber attack against a militarily important railway junction/marshalling yard

2. Under intense/heavy Polish defensive fire the Stuka (plane*) and uses the entire aircraft to aim.

3. Only a few hundred meters above the target the bomb is released, pulled out of the dive and then straigthened (returns to horizontal flight).

*the narrator says "Stuka Flieger", and "Flieger" can mean both "aircraft/plane" and "pilot", but I'm certain he talks about the former, and I'd say you can leave it out entirely in the English translation.

Great! I heard "Stuka Flieger" and I liked "Stuka Pilot" so I added that. I didn't know "Flieger" can mean both "aircraft/plane" and "pilot".

I kept it short to fit and went for what I thought looked and sounded good on the screen and told the story.

Thank you for the reply and confirmation.
