ARB Wide Gui Split Screen Issue

I have the Disk version of SH3 , running on Windows 10.
Recently replaced a faulty hard drive, and naturally lost my SH3 with all the bells and whistles!

So far I have:

Made sure windows properties/security were adjusted to allow me permissions for all apps/patches.

Disabled Norton Virus.

1) Patched the 4G

2)Patched the Tycho V3
(which includes the Expanded Map adjustment)

3) JGSME

4) Placed the Arb wide gui V0.4 into Mod Folder

Everything works except for the split screen!

I've tried using the Tycho V4 patch, and the older ARB wide gui "Final" with the "Hot Fix" and every combo I could think of!

Spent a few hours searching for a resolution, but it appears most of the solutions are regarding the "Steam" version and using the Hsie patch.

Appreciate any help you can give an old Navy vet who's been married for 45 years, and this game and beer in my mancave are the only things keeping my sanity!!!

edzee, what super mod, you using, GWX3 for example. See if we can get this fixed. there are 2 ways that I know of.

A. Copy the TychoSh3Patch_v3 folder, into the Mods Folder. There will be 4 files in the Tycho Work Folder.
• Binpatch.exe
• Remove.bat
• Tycho Patch.bat
• Tycho Patch.map
B. Copy SHIII.exe to the TychoSh3Patch_v3 folder
C. Run the TychoSh3Patch.bat
D. Activate the TychoSh3Patch_v3, via JSGME

In your SH3 folder (the one with the .exe), you’ll see a file called TychoSh3Patch.map file. Open using notepad and ctrl+f to find this section:

@@@ Expand Nav and Attack maps render limit, from 1024x1024 to 2048x2048.

@@@000A8E75: 00 00
@@@000A8E76: 04 08
@@@000A8E77: 00 00
@@@000A8E78: 00 00

If you're having a double screen glitching, removing the three @@@ in front of the 000s (NOT the @@@ in front of Expand Nav) and this *should* fix it. Make sure they're removed all the way down to :000739E4: 04 00," which is right above the "@@@Scopes and reticles" section.

let me know if you have sucess. I myself have never had to use the second method. The TychoSH3_v3 or v4 patch has worked for me. AND ACTIVATE THE ARB 3.1 PATCH FIRST and TEST. Jerry (Baltimore Md) / Doolar (CA45)

Thanks! I never placed the Tycho, once patched in the mod folder for JGSME. I'll try in the morning.

Tried every combo, still a problem. When I use the ARB wide gui "FINAL" and Arb v3.1 "FIX," all I get is the small NAV screen.

If I use the latest ARB wide gui V.4, I get the full NAV screen, but spit in half.

I have no problem getting the whole game screen WIDE, it's just the NAV and ATTACK MAPS I'm having problems with.

Going out and picking up a few pints, and will uninstall everything and try again for the tenth time!!

Thanks, but been there, done that many times. Also edited the Tycho map to expand. Both ARB gui along with Tycho allows me to expand the game. But with the ARB FINAL I only get the smaller half size NAV and Attack maps. The most recent 2022 ARB v4 gives me the wide NAV and attack maps, but a split screen that is not usable. I'm using the Disk version, not the Steam version.
