Default My little collection

Not sure if this is the right place to put this, if not then the best place would probably be the air-sim room down below.

Let me start with a little bit of background. My other half collects model kits of something called zoids, they're (for the most part) fairly easy to assemble, ready painted kits which have had a big following in Japan since the 1980s.
Now, when I say collect, I mean she has near on 200 of them. Thankfully some are at her parents, but a good majority imigrated with her a couple of years back. It took me a year and a half, but finally I got one of my shelves back in the bedroom

This has become my aeroplane shelf:

(Left to right:
MiG-29, Vulcan XH588, Sopwith Camel, Boeing 747, Spitfire, Hurricane, Sopwith Camel, Sea Harrier, Bf-109, F-117, B-2 Spirit, cockpitless A-10, F-117, AH-64, P-38, two F-14s, an F-18 and a SPAD S. XIII )

The jigsaw puzzle behind it is a thousand piece puzzle that my mother did and then we glued it onto some board and I thought that the shelf would make the perfect place for it.
It's nowhere near as detailed or as artfully made as the kit-built models seen elsewhere in this section, I have done Airfix kits many moons ago, but just haven't got the patience for them at the moment, but it's my little collection, and I am proud of it

(And yeah...they need a dust... )

Nice collection! I especially like the MiG-29, A-10, and F/A-18.

Two new additions to the collection, including a tank! I've taken a liking to the Panzers, and let me tell you it took me a loooong time to decide which one to get, next on the list is the Panther.

Nice collection....you've just directed me here today on my modelseekers thread, hence the delay in posting.

My collection is still boxed and will remain so sadly until one of the ankle biters fly the nest.

Bought an ottoman bed the other week to keep them safely stored at room temperature etc. and that is already half full

Epic thread necromancy!

Well...epic-ish.

Anyway, as vowed, I got myself a Panther whilst in London. Got it at the modelzone shop at Holburn, they have quite a collection in there...including a lovely 1/6 Panzer II in the window...which sadly She Who Must Be Obeyed refused to get me Well, it was in the three digit zone.

The Panzer commander just makes me think of this though:

Not at all....I've built the stand/base for the display cabinets which should arrive on the 8th and have a boat load of pictures to put in the diecast collection thread.

She's a fine example of possibly the best designed tank of the war and I like her a lot...very nice indeed matey

Not at all. Epic is several years, and without warning. Also, your brought back your own thread, and mentioned what you were doing. All good and above board.

And some nice models.

I have a large catalogue of models, but they are all 1/72 and all built for gaming, so they're all in transport cases at a friend's house, and the only ones I have pictures of I've already posted a gazillion times. That, plus the one I built for the Hill Air Force Base Museum 21 years ago.
