Okay. I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but I am fairly certain that you're not going to get it.

I figure that you want a mod for SH2 that adds missions that follow the storyline of "The Hunt for Red October." And a mod that transforms a German type VIIC U-boat into an American type 688i or a Soviet Typhoon class SSBN.

Hmm... SH2 is pretty mod-able, but I don't see this happening. I suggest you look into Sub Command or Dangerous Waters. As those games have the necessary elements by default.

Unlikely your going to find anything like that and I very much doubt there are many people kicking around who are willing to mod SH2 to include those boats.

As kgsuarez Already said, Dangerous Waters or Sub Command are the better titles for nuke boats. They already have Typhoons and LA class in them as well as suitable acoustic and combat environments.

Buy either Dangerous Waters or Subcommand and then go to Downloads

And maybe there you will find some Mods and mission about Red Oktober.

Dangerous Waters works fine on Vista.
