Default Dear Santa: Sonar contact lines with no map update.

I am teaching myself the 4 bearing method while sub is moving and I have a question:

Is it possible to get the sonar bearing lines but no other map update?

One other thing I would like to see is sonar bearing lines that do NOT indicate distance to target so good plotting by following the tip of the line is possible.

Yes it is, but it will be a good amount of work. What you can do is make transparent all the ship symbols that appear on the map and play with contact updates on. You will not see the ship silhouettes themselves (They will be rendered, but as transparent object) but you will see the sonar lines. I think the job was done already as standalone mod called "assisted poltting mod" or something like that, I think Steve uploaded it here, do a search in the downloads.

Greatly appreciated The sonar lines help tremendously, but those ship icons on the map take a lot of fun out of plotting and scheming.
