"The Kid Stakes" 1927.

An ancient movie from almost 100 years ago. Filmed just down the road from where I now live. Watching it now people go "wow look at the poverty" and this is just before the Great Depression

Growing up we didn't have it any better. Very basic food, hand me downs, people kept cows, chickens, and goats.... in the city !!!

Times were sure different

All Quiet on the Western Front | Official Trailer | Netflix

I watched this film the other night and the only things I'm going to say about it are, it's an Epic portrayal of life in a WWI trench and it's also Brutal on the senses. If you're a bleeding wimp from the Generation Z brigade I strongly recommend that you don't watch it. If you enjoyed watching "Cross of Iron" starring James Coburn then you'll like this film, because in my opinion, it's an even better film than "Cross of Iron" is.

Watched Cross of Iron many years ago and All Quiet on the Western Front on Netflix last week and thoroughly enjoyed them both.
