Default Two probably fairly dumb questions

...but a quick search produced no results. I have recently dug up SH5 after a ten-year pause, and I cannot find two SH3 features that were most useful: the recognition manual (on the UZO, I have yet to carry out a periscope attack) for quickly finding out a target's draught, and the clock that in SH3 was in the bottom right corner and allowed you to always see what time is it in-game. Are they missing altogether or should I do something to make them appear?

To get to the recognition manual, you will need to click on the "Charts" button (it's on the upper-right vertical menu), or, I think, press E.

By default, the manual is off-screen, with just the drag handle visible. It will be on the left-hand side of the screen.

Drag it on screen and then you can use it.

To get the clock, press the O key. If you LMB on the clock you will get some alarm options. If you RMB on the clock it will turn into a U-Jagd stopwatch which can be useful for estimating speeds of ships.

Thanks for the clock, now I can see it.

For the recognition manual, instead, pressing 'E' seems to do nothing for me. I cannot find the 'Charts' button either; in the upper right part of the screen I only have the navigation map, captain's log, crew management, time compression and change camera mode (speaking of which, in SH3 when you obtained a sonar, radar or visual contact you could get a view of the ship or plane by pressing the comma key, now this does not happen. There is some other key or combination of keys to enable it, or is it gone?)

The Charts button is one of the buttons on the vertical menu in the upper-right-hand corner.

Might be this one.

Pressing E should activate it and bring up a menu of charts you can access. But the recognition manual should be off screen no matter what, I think (once you press the button or E).

I'm running The Wolves of Steel megamod 2.2.25. Might be why.

Unmodded SH5 does not have the recognition manual?

I don't think I every played unmodded SH5.

I found the game manual in this folder (steam game):

G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Silent Hunter 5\Support\Manual\English

The only mention of the recognition manual is while you are in the Museum. So I'm not sure how to access it otherwise in the stock game.

I highly recommend TWOS 2.2 if your computer has the horsepower for it.
