My point exactly even your using the same little headbanging dudes when
refering to your skippering.

and for the record when we did the 200+ mission we had two
skipper/gunners available to spell each other
(crew management you just cant escape it even when you set
everything to zero)

Heres a hint on that eddie.

at least when they're approaching from the bows

that 37 will make it out to almost 6000

take em early with the long fast gun.

and dont sit still if one of sergebutos virtual torpedos gets you
your toasted. (again)

Default Ok actual work

Of those of you who have Uberboot I also need to know
who doesnt have the current version im going to try to
get at least a new mission done by next week and take
another.Ill also take another shot at correcting the
aft deckgun mount. but I am not too optimistic.

either way Id like to get everybody on the same
version. for better and more coherent data.

Testers check your version number.

if you have Type IX_XI_Uberboot_v1.2Beta
then your up to date and Ill just send a mission file.
if you have Type IX_XI_Uberboot_v1.1Beta
then you still cant see over the aft rail.

those that dont have 1.2 should contact me.
and Ill send it.

Default Regarding the last two posts mine and eddies.

Testers of all of you that have played only eddie has reported contact
with the two MTB squadrons they havent even been showing up in my
own games.

Has any body had to fight off the mtb attacks other than eddie.

I ask because in testing this was one of the most exciting moments
in the mission.

fighting the auxilliary cruiser in front while under air attack and suddenly
realizing that a half dozen mtbs have closed from the horizon to halfway
there by the time you detect them.

it was a great moment that was well timed and it isnt working in my own
copy of the mission.

testers please report any surface combat mission contact with mtbs
please.

Default ok now Questin for the test group.

OK testers.

Q: Uber development has certain problems with
the aft gun mount that are obvious to you guys
the associated limited ammo limited crew positions
and the missing sights. Is uberboot fightable now.?
at what stage of development should it become
a general release.

a) beta w guns as is. {weeks}
b) beta w corrected aft gun {months}
c) final w all bugs fixed and full paint etc. (a few months more)

what are your general thoughts on playability of the boat as is.
leave posts please.

Default a few surface tactics for Uber

air attacks // in the included mission you are always under fairly close pursuit
by 2nd escort grp. and in the mission unless you have put a lot of distance
between you and commander walker I wouldnt recommend this tactic
however if your not under pursuit this can be the very best way to stave
off an air attack.

Flank ahead and 20 degrees rudder port or starboard as you please.
then just let the sub circle aircraft dont do as well as surface ships
against a circling sub.

as you circle maneuvering is removed from your list of things to do.
so then You can man the AA guns, Humans can adjust faster and
better than AI against targets they can see. humans also love to
blast away with a Hyped Up 37. this is fun and safe and effective.

but if in the included mission dont keep it up walker will close you fast
and if you doubt they can sink you sit still for four minutes at the start
of the mission and try to duke it out with them. they were set up
specifically to overpower uber if you slow down.

Maybe so but I released River FF as an Incompleted beta
those that have them love them as opponents and it
worked to solicit the Help I needed to get it finished.

by the same token early release of the incomplete beta
may drum up the help necessary to finish Uber earlier.

a thought:hmm:

That's easier said then done Martin!!!

I remember now that the mtbs never reappeared in my mission
after I changed them over to stock types as I wanted
general compatability for the misision

eddie I dont have a copy any longer of the orientation mission I sent
if you still have it can you send it along..
