And, the last update on this chapter.

The pain got really bad last night and stayed that way.
Finally called the Dr's. "emergency" number early this morning and said I would be waiting for him in front of the building when he got to work.

He was cool and warned me that the Novocain shot was going to hurt like a mudda because he finally figured out the tooth was infected. He wasn't kidding. It sounded like I was 8 months late on a payment but things finally got numb.

Got the bleeping thing extracted at about 9 AM. Pretty simple and it looked goofier than I thought it would. Remember Devil's Tower in Close Encounters?
All sides and no roots. Either way, its gone.

I'm taking a long weekend off. Right now it feels like I got run over by a train but that's a good thing. The pain from the extraction was brief but expected. I was over the worst part by noon. Now, I just need to get the rest of that infection out of my system and make sure the gum heals correctly.

Later.

...now you'll remember to brush and floss regularly! I'm fortunate; I got my wisdom teeth out sometime around age thirty they were
coming in out-of-alignment and ruining the teenage braces-straightening for which the orthodontist had removed the four bicuspids behind the incisors(fangs alot doc)... thus, at age 71: lower maintenance all round!

What a lot of unnecessary pain to go through and for so long!!
Looks like the light at the end of the tunnel is approaching, I sure hope it's all over soon, dare I say . . . what about the other wisdom tooth?

Cheers.

In all honesty, I haven't had a cavity in something like 15 years?
Same deal with the braces gig, I still have my fangs but the two teeth outside of them got yanked. To me, it still seems like it was a waste.

The Navy yanked my lower wisdom teeth mainly because I got my orders changed to the Barbel in Japan. That was where I probably got into the most trouble, Barbel was all about really serious fresh water restrictions and we'd wait until the galley served soup to brush our teeth.

The chomper that got yanked today was always on the back burner. My Dentists always told me they'd deal with it when the time was right.

The last wisdom tooth has always acted like it was in the witness protection program and its always kept a low profile. We checked it in the last set of X Rays and it hasn't done much of anything. The problem with digging it out is that it would require some serious oral surgery because its buried deep.

God, do not always shout "here" when there's some disease looking around to attack someone's health

Hope all is healing, and get better soon

Bracing for a bad couple of days. Hurricane Fiona with Category 1 winds and torrential rain is expected to make land fall here early Saturday morning. Huge amounts of rain are expected. "Rainfall rates in excess of 25 mm per hour are possible beginning tonight and will continue into Saturday ..". Wind could gust up to 140 or 150 km/h. Large storm surge is expected in coastal areas.

Wish I had a submarine.

As Reece said, stay safe, Marcel. I hope your area is able to weather this storm without too many problems.

Going full hot burrito mode wrapped up in warm blankets gulping down instant noodles... At least it seems to be a common cold. These noodles still taste like ****.

If it makes you feel better, I'm breaking my "Friday Hamburger" streak today.

Solid food by Monday or bust!

She has been busy this evening and night. She has already caught two mice and she is out again.

Well It's Saturday so why shouldn't she get some snacks, like I do sometimes in the weekend.
