Most of the whining I'm seeing has to do with Whelen not being in the trade, not that Bout was traded. My point is whatabouism, but it appears the Trump administration made little, or no effort, to get Whelen back for years and now Biden gets slammed for not getting him back in a trade.

I see a country so divided by religious idiology that it can't find common ground over a hostage exchange because the hostage is deemed unworthy by some "Christian" standards.

I see a disgruntled and confused GOP grabbing at anything to sling at Biden rather than look in a mirror for answers over questions of failure.

I see a country still choking out a giant cult of personality hairball of right wing extremism that plotted a hostile takeover because it can't accept not being in charge.

I do not see this exchange as a religious ideology issue. Whalen is doing hard time. Grinder was not. Neither is more worthy than the other. One is just perfect for the narrative coming from DC. For what Russia got in the exchanged Biden could have bargained for both. Biden did not negotiate as well as he should have. He took the easy route.

I can assure you, of the many walks of life I work with and are friends, the disgruntlement is for from the right wing Trump nuts as none of them are right wing Trump nuts.

You completely ignored my point for a Trump whataboutism? Are you doing this on purpose like to troll or something or are you really that brainwashed and obsessed with things that don’t matter like Trump? Because what I’m driving at has happened today and may lead to unwanted and violent consequences for other Americans tomorrow when they get detained, arrested, or kidnapped in a foreign land for having done absolutely NOTHING wrong. The amount of THC Griner was caught with under Russian law only amounted to maybe fine and 15 days, not nine years.

Because we just witnessed a Russian head state, a dictator, basically kidnap an American on trumped up charges, make his demands and got what he wanted. What did we get out of the deal? A woke photo opportunity today which by may place even more American’s in jeopardy tomorrow?

Here's another one who did nothing more than Griner did but he ain't even making the news at all.

Marc Fogel

In June, Fogel, 61, was sentenced to 14 years at a labor camp.
The federal government has not designated Fogel as wrongfully detained.
