Exclamation mac + crossover help?

Dear kind bubbleheads,

If there's any way at all to get back to this sim, I would love to learn how.

I put my fancy schmancy m2 macbook down to 960x600 and I still get the popup window:
"FAILED TO INITIATE GRAPHICS DISPLAY"
Is there anything I can do to get this puppy working.

I've gotten the game to work using ReShade and a dxWrapper dll that converts d3d8 to d3d9 and runs in a Windows 11 bottle via dxWnd.

However, frame rates are in many cases quite low, rendering some missions (e.g. We Dive at Dawn) virtually unplayable. For some reason that I haven't been able to explain Sub Command runs much better in CrossOver, and I've been obliged to switch to Parallels Desktop until CrossOver releases a future (hopefully) update that improves frame rates in a Sonalysts Dangerous Waters installation.

@Aktungbby

I see...

So, there's really no hope for us within the Apple ecosystem.

Cold waters just doesn't do it for me...

I was just trying to get this working in porting kit and Crossover and had issues. How do you find the performance in Parallels? Also, are you on an Intel or Apple Silicon mac? Thanks!
