Btw - is this an unusually large TF? 3 BBs, a selection of cruisers, some merchants, a bunch of DDs. Did I just _happen_ to stumble upon the pride of the Nipponese fleet?
Am I wrong or do I see 3 Yamatos on your screenie?

Hi!
I don't seem to get it, how do you get this free-cam where you can go closer to your submarine and other ships? I can press shift+F2 wherever I want, it does not work! Please don't let me look like an idiot to myself

Thx

yamamoto and nagumo were there and to japan in jan. kondo tanaka and kurita got there like the 5th of june but the us fleets got there late the 6th so it looks like there wouldnt be any fighting. i changed the start date in the campaign.cfg for midway from 1938 to june 42 and moved somewaypoints cause thats all i know how to do. i just have to get to june 42 in my career to see if it worked which is getting ahrder and harder to do (if it doesnt work like that someoen let me know eh?)

Is that what they are...Yamatos. I didn't get a chance to rec manual them (hadn't found the rec manual yet). Anyway, they were ridiculously large, and they were travelling at about 7 kts.

My worthless entry, a couple of kills I got shortly after sunrise in the East China Sea:

Looking at this picture I tried to imagine myself as a crewman from the foreground freighter adrift in the water, and I composed my final haiku:

"At sunrise, the waves
lap in gentle harmony.
My soul will know peace."

Not a bad screenshot, but the haiku sucks.

Ah, my first kill of my very first career.

Now, where'd you say those ships are cheif?

Well, after a few patrols, I figured it was about time for a refit over at the Mare Island naval yard.

Just some more nifty kill shots.

Love the fog effects.

Mighty unusual weather we have tonight cheif.

Default Isn´t that beautiful?

Hi!
Indeed I´m surprised how SH4 looks much better in the screenies than ingame...surely due to image resize...
Well, these tow form my 1st patrol: photograph enemy assets in Hiroshima harbour.
I took those shots while sailing out of Hiroshima area at dawn. I just found an escort carrier and two destroyers seating still in the middle of the channel and could sink them quite easily. Even when the carrier went down, the two destroyers didn´t move!...I just love this sim, and will even more when patch 1.2 comes out and fixes some of the most annoying bugs...

Hope you like them!

Call me picky but..

Isn't dragging your ass over rocks in shallow water supposed to put small holes in your boat?

I had to do this to complete a supply drop-off in New Britain. I had to BEACH my sub to get the message to appear asking me if I wanted to launch the dinghy, which makes a very odd noise when it is being launched..Ho hum

Oh yes, it should! I got my sub sunk a couple of time because of diving in shallow waters!
