German Intro Video.

Can anyone please tell me if there are any German based intro Videos and main screens? as I only play as German U-boats now with Operation Monsun and it would give the game a better feel. Thanks

I just finished uploading a mod to address this issue. It includes Battle of the Atlantic themed footage, images, and new menu music.

I am sorry. In file Back1.bik wrong format. At loading - a start in system.

I have one I made myself.

The one listed above doesn't seem to work with my system at all. Causes the game to crash with the happy "SH IV has encountered an error" message box. It does seem to be linked to the Back1.bik but I also found an incorrectly formated .dds file [Head_12.dds].

In any event, mine alters the music theme and the fade in - fade out pictures on the left ... the video Back1.bik is the stock game one. I would love to replace the stock video ... but I dont have anything that can convert between avi to bik and bik to avi or in an ideal situation can directly edit .bik files. (If someone knows of a free movie editor that can do that in a single package please let me know).

The still pictures used in the above package are all wrong as well. That is where I got mine from (and that person has a LOT of pictures included inside the file folders that are NOT used or shown in the menu section) and I used only 3 of the pictures that person used but I had to crop, expand, edit, and clean up his 3 I used and the 9 others I chose for my version. As I stated above, the last of the stills [Head_12.dds] that he uses is incorrectly formated in the above version and will in and of itself cause a crash of the game as it is loading in my system. I fixed that ... but I can't fix the video [Back1.bik] as I don't have the necessary tools to do it.

[Note: I have no idea if the sound file included with that package works or not since I use my own.]

I made my version JSGME compatable and when I play the ATO side I make sure I enable that. It leaves no question as to if you are playing the german side or not.
