Default Destroyer Command -and- Silent Hunter2 Multiplayer

I got a lot of questions on this one:

How did this turn out once both games were finally released?
http://www.subsim.com/ssr/sh2/destroy_sh2.html

Can I still play DC-SH2 multiplayer?

Which patches/mods do I need?

I tried installing Projekt Messerwetzer DC V1.03 mod for Destroyer Command but then my DC crashed when I tried to play a campaign. Hence my question: how do I allow DC-SH2 multiplayer to work now on my Windows 7 PC?

Is the DC-SH2 multiplayer stable?

Anyone still play this DC-SH2 multiplayer?

Is there a modern equivalent of the DC-SH2 multiplayer, or is it the only one of its kind and has never been updated?

Sorry for my many questions. Haha.

Default

Did you patch SH2 first before Projekt Messerwetzer? That may be it (??)

I have no trouble running Pacific Aces & Projekt Messerwetzer (to avoid Janus errors) on Win 7. I think that PA uses some files from DC, or similar files (??).

I also use Kriegstanz (and KD) to run Pacific Aces with no problems.

I've read somewhere that a couple players did DC-SH2 multiplay under Win 7. I don't - I never tried multiplay.

Wish I was more helpful other than to tell you what works for me - hopefully so you can narrow your issue down. The important thing is to apply the SH2 patch first.

Good luck.
