They need to be uploaded somewhere online and then you link to them by clicking the "Insert Image" button when you are typing a post, and putting the URL of the image into the box that pops up for that purpose.
Or you can just type it into your post like this [IMG]complete_url_of_image_goes_here[/IMG] if you are so inclined. |

I posted mine by opening a line in the text, copying the picture (right-click) and then pasting it in the open text line.

You need to put
[IMG] in front of the image's URL and [/IMG] at the end of it. Also, it looks like you're trying to post a picture from your local drive by typing in the "path" to its location there. You need to upload the picture to the internet somewhere first, then type in the URL - its location on the internet. Typing in its location on your hard drive won't upload it to the forum. If you go to your User Control Panel, and click on Pictures & Albums in the links down the left-hand side, you'll find a place where you can upload images to your Subsim account. There might be a size limit but you can host your pictures here if you like - when you've done that and view them it will give you the code to paste into one of your posts to display the image there as well. Or you can use a site like Photobucket, Imageshack, or Flickr and upload your pics there. |
