CTD which I was talking about is SHsim.act /AI related and it will occur only when leader unit in hunter killer group is engaged and damaged (not dead). If battleship is alone or if it's not set as a leader , CTD wont occur...
The pedestal mission always ctd . havnt tried it lately though with my current modlist . In spite of everything always ctd , but now is quite stable with my list .

Some new findings regarding damaged task force leader CTD...
It seems that the game will only CTD if player is hiding from escorts with electric engines on "all stop" or if they lose sound contact. It's definitely some kind of IRAI /ship tactics bug. The game also wont CTD if damaged unit is not set as a leader or it is alone...Maybe we should start new thread for this issue so maybe we could attract even TDW's attention...

(Warning) Introducing fear and doubt when raiding enemy ports
A few enemy ports have been heavily mined with submerged chained and floating mines . Anything other than 1X time compression when nearing those ports is not advised . Scapa flow has been heavily mined . Use the historical raid route for raiding Scapa flow . I have placed a floating mine opposite Memel submarine pen . Its close to the first light bouy you see . Hit it and see what happens to your sub .

Not sure about the nets . I remember in SH3 or 4 you could join nets up or something to make them as long as you want . nets in SH5 are different I think . Forget the nets mate .

Yes I've noticed that too, they are rather short but still they do the job...

No one in there right mind is going to risk raiding a port when they have to travel at slow time compression miles out from a port at decks awash looking for floating mines . They wont know if the port they are raiding has mines or not and in the next campaign the mines might or might not be at different ports . There are chained mines so submerged travel is out of the question . This is only for Total_Germany atm . I will do the other campaigns next week . The mod includes Kiel lite . I cannot justify having 25fps in Kiel with a 290 amd graphics card .

Kiel looks great even with your light mod, no problems there...
But, I've also noticed that Memel harbor is almost completely empty, is that intended and if not, can you fix it?
