There goes the HMS Nelson. (4th time I've sunk it this career).

It was in the center of a convoy. I destroyed her engines and waited for the escorts to give up chasing me.

My radio and FlaK were destroyed by DC's, so I headed home. The Nelson and Cyclops collier made a good haul, though.

Set out in peacetime. After fifty-six days at sea, returned to find Wilhelmshaven on a wartime footing.

The engineers aren't washing their hands again. Sic the 1WO on them. Ship readiness is his department.

I never thought of that, I always figured the last Kaleun was killed by "accident". I mean it could have been one of the crew on there, have you seen the way they look at you?!

Now tell me that doesn't make you nervous about spending up to a month or more in a steel tube with them. Isolated in the middle of the ocean.

You're fine as long as seawater still drips down in when you pop the hatch. Once on my old Type II we popped the hatch and about 35 gallons of blood poured in. No one knows where it came from, and on that patrol some of the men reported hearing a young girl's voice muttering gibberish at them in an accusing tone. Half the crew deserted after that one.

Now this is disturbing... I distinctly told the quartermaster, absolutely no booze on board for patrols.

Passing by an unknown supply ship. North of St. Helena, April 3 1941.

Also, it would appear the handprint on the left has six fingers. Jeez K. Righst, there are mutants in the Navy!
