[HELP] A few questions about modding?

Have tried to mod cold waters with several mods,
namely:

coldwaterssovietcampaign

HGB LA FLT II & SSN-21 2004 campaign

PERMIT and LA available

and RussianSubs

all the mods resulted in the game freezing up, missions not appearing or the start button no longer responding when clicked on mission screens.

have had to uninstall and reinstall 5 times as I tried each mod seperately with no success.

I've watched the various you tube vids and know to copy the 'overide' folder over to the streaming_assets folder.

But none of that helps, also i thought the game allowed you to choose from the standard subs anyway?

Have played three single missions and all force me to use the narwhal and dont have the selection arrows i see in videos on you tube to pick the sub i want?

Sorry if this is a little bit of a rant but i am stuck with this game and not much to do unless it can be modded properly :/
