At good daylight i have checked for all the imperfections, and corrected them.
Flat black applied as base for painting.

Taking advantage of my airbrush being loaded with flat black i sprayed the 20 mm gun.
Once dry i will use gunmetal pigments to finish it off.

My god Siara. That is one of the most impressive things I have seen on the net yet. Such dedication, some may say obsession, to work and detail is rarely found these days.

My honest respect, keep it up!

Siara:
I have the following figures that I bought for the U-boote:

They are of the mark " Andrea".
Of all ways, those that you have chosen for the tower they are quite good.

Cheers

Not Steve, there are the illustrations of "Andrea" that come in the catalog, but I think that these figures give them to the great U-Boote dynamism.

Siara: If you paint the figures in black, when you apply the clear colors, they will turn out to be a little darker, it is advisable to paint the figures of white or light gray like that they highlight more color tones, Especially the leather tones and, for example, the white clothes

Cheers

Siara - I just posted this in the News Items section, and wonder:

"What would Siara do?"

Model makers dive into subs

Siara would have had working miniature nukes that he hand soldered and wired in 1/700th scale. :rotfl:

And he'd have mounted proper sonar sets and designed working torpedoes to go with them.

Actually i wouldnt- modern subs are not my thing.

It really is big sub- for sure. Imagine what can happen for 108 000 dollars.
I just wonder how many people will be needed to transport that thing to museum.

Makes me laugh- the navy ordered the model of the submarine, but refused to tell which one- sounds like the order was placed on 1 of april.

Ahhh! Navies are so peculiar!!

Remember: There are three ways to do the things: the right way, the common way and the Navy way...

I followed the advice from the specialists from other good forums, and visited the Games Workshop today.
I never expected that toy shop to have such nice things on offer.

Chaos Black- black colour primer, excellent for models with PE, and figure painting. Instead of priming the figures with Tamiya Grey, and adding the black base coat, we have all in one.
Aparently it is the best thing money can buy when the metal parts have been used for construction, as it stick like s*** to the showell.

The grey can is the Roughcoat- basicaly the primer with the texture. Ideal for cladded walls, rusted areas, or in this case for lower hull, with faded paint, barnacles, and salt residue.

So, I guess you'll be using the roughcoat for the men as well?

Everyone looks tip-top, and it's the best model I've ever seen.
