Default Is there a hydrophone lamp mod?

Is there any gwx compatible mod which shows lights on the hydrophone wheel where sound is picked up? It would be insanely helpful when playing with map contacts turned off, since the operator refuses to call out contacts more than once. Cheers

I don't know what mods you are playing. But I swear I remember that the top-right lightbulb glows when you point the needle within 10 degrees of a sound source. All the way to max hydrophone range of 34km.

I never saw any green lamp glowing in any SH3 megamod I have played so far…
I remember this feature in SH4 yes, but that’s about it.

It’s certainly doable cause there is this lamp bulb on hydrophone, but as I’m quite sure it didn’t existed in reality (in U-boats), so… it’s gonna stay like that in my modded game

A gameplay i watched had lights around the entire wheel, highlighting every bearing where sound got picked up previously. Sort of like map contacts, but without giving away the distance

Edit: Upon rewatching it, turns out that was just normal lighting, unrelated to sound pickup. Would be awesome if they made a mod like that though

Ok, I may have been mistaken and used the cue from the notepad (without ID information) in GWX 3 instead. And indeed also mistaken with SH4.

To get the exact bearing I listened for the edges of the sound manually anyway and took the average of those bearings.
