Hi, Im new to SH3. And I'm having a lot of difficulty with the Surface Mod. I have followed the instructions to the best of my ability with the 2.6 Surface Mod. However it fails to update the map, which I didn't think was an issue at first. But then I boot up the campaign. (The German Campaign). I'm able to change my ship and crew and all that in the menu. But when I boot up the actual campaign... My game crashes. I tried everything but I have given up. What can I do to fix this? Is there a discord server or something where I can ask others or you how I can properly play the mod?

TLDR: Mod isn't working for me. Please help.

If the game works but doesn't load the campaign, the problem may be memory related.
Have you applied the 4GB patch?
keep in mind that it takes an average of 10 minutes to load the campaign (with a medium/low PC)

Hi! I appreciate the response! I found the patch and it works! Though the map's a bit wonky. Im not sure how to describe it but it's an issue. But it shows two maps at once like a VR view. And nothing is very accurate. Do you have a potential fix for it?

To add on. I already tried the "Map Patch" in the mod's 5_ARB file. This is the result. So I'm not even sure if it worked in the first place.

Note: If it helps, I have no additional mods downloaded yet. This one is the only one I got

Optimized ARB WideGui 1920x1080 =

INSTALLATION :

1- copy your original sh3.exe (save a copy) and paste it in "Full Map and Chrono Patch" folder.

2-run "FullMapAndChronoPatch.bat"

3-copy now this patched sh3.exe and paste it into the MOD "5_ARB_res_1920x1080 - 2.7"

4- activate the mod with jsgme.

I appreciate that, but those are the instructions I tried over and over again. And each time it "failed" to apply the patch. No matter what I did. I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times but to no effect.

Ah yes, I was misled by the underwater light "caustic" effect. So, it's the same configuration as the type XXI u-boat: 6x forward torp-tubes...
