Hi texelbo!
And thanks!!

As an ocean liner lover, i must say this model is AMAZING
I can imagine to walk into promenades inside glass windows.
Details are breathtaking. And FPS are good too!

Damn, sorry for my cheap and badly setted graphic card's effects, but i think your work deserves al least a screenshot!

Respect for your work!

I don't know if you're interested on create other great ocean liners \ troopers like Aquitania, New Amsterdam, Rex etc, but... keep up the extremely good work!

Best regards,
Vd

Von Dos Hi!

Passenger liner "Rex" was made for SH:
PPR=пассажирский лайнер "Рекс"

Passenger liner "Aquitania" was made for SH:
LUS=лайнер т. "Аквитания"

Passenger liner "New Amsterdam" was not in SH. Why need made ships what was made yet?

I think, that need see what was made and made new ships. What interesting made 2 or 3 times one ship?

List ships was made for SH:
https://sovpl.forum24.ru/?1-7-166427...-000-120-0#110 this and after.

Texelbo - thank for you new ship!

Hi denis_469!
I know those models, because... i'm the author ^_^"
They've been made more than 10 years ago, and if they're "good" at time (my skills were really inferior than now), now they're totally out of date.
For a good comparison, try to put side to side the REX model and latest Queen Mary version, or latest NTUS. There's a lot of difference.
Now compare the latest Queen Mary with this Mauretania II.
Again, that's a different level.
That's why i think a new version of big ocean liners (I said Aquitania, Rex and Niew Amsterdam, but there were a lot of them outside, including the various "Empress of Somewhere" from CP line (i've, again, a really old Empress of Britain in my shipyard)...
That's why updated version of old ship are interesting to me.

Sure, Mr texelbo is free to choose everything he prefere to model, if and when he want to model. My message was just an expression of an hope

Best regards,
Vd

ps: sorry for the hijack of the post; we are talking about the Mauretania II released here. A damn good model. Yep.

Yes, HMT Mauretania has almost made.
In fact - this liner was made only for one task - meet her in last days of August 1939 and enjoy from elegance this classical british design.

Hi VonDos.
Thank you for warm words.
About another great liners - those ships are too beautiful ad too complicated - my wishes are limited by lack of enough information and time. Mauretania has consumed almost three years of efforts - a little more than construction of real liner.
I'm in consideration of next big model - could be Pasteur, but I still hasnt found layouts or drawings of her. Will see.

Another issue - from my pont of view all those great liners (20000+ GRT) should be gathered in their own group of UnitType, not as now - in 103. Its quite weird meet Queen Mary in slow random convoy, majestically crawling among small tramps at 8 knots.
At least we have separate unit group 10 only for battlecruisers - for three ships only.

You're welcome, and, again, thanks for your dedication in your mods!
I understand, with a similar detail level, there's a huge need of time and blueprints\schemes\photos etc.
As said, you're free to mod everything you want, if you want
I well remember images of Pasteur. A big liner with a single funnel... but, what a funnel!!

About UnitType 103, i agree. If we can have a class for Hood, Repulse and Renown, we should have another, and larger, class for big, high speed, zigzag course, alone or lightly escorted ocean liners! They deserve this

Best regards,
Vd

2. The underwater part of the hull (painted in red) would have a far better looking if it has a "weathering effect" : I mean not clean but with traces of oxidation (rust). But maybe it's too complicated to do.
