Default Russia Decommissions World’s Largest Submarine




The Russian Navy's Northern Fleet has finally decommissioned the "Dmitry Donskoy" (TK-208) Typhoon-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) according to Russia's TASS agency, citing cpt. Vladimir Maltsev, chairman of the All-Russian Fleet Support Movement, a non-governmental organization working for the good name of the Russian naval forces and shipping. It was the last of six Typhoon-class (Project 941) SSBNs, the largest ever built.



The news was initially reported by RIA Novosti agency as early as last August...
