Mystery Subsim #75

Here is the initial shot of Mystery Subsim #75

This will make some of you hate me, hahaha!

Be the first to guess correctly the name of this subsim or naval game and have your name added to the prize pool.

If you guess, and you are wrong, then you have used one of your three wrong guesses alloted to each player. Each player gets only three wrong guesses in the whole contest before your participation ends, so guess wisely (if you are really sure). If you don't know, don't waste a guess! You can only guess incorrectly three times in the contest.

You cannot EDIT your post in this contest. An edited or deleted post counts as a wrong guess.

Remember the rules!!

If no one tries to guess this shot, or no one guesses correctly, there will be an expanded shot to follow.

Good hunting!

Alright, I'm going to go way out on a limb here and say Silent Hunter 5. One can only dream right.

Btw, that was your third incorrect guess, so you cannot guess again.

About the game:

Quote:

Sea Raider, Midway #543, 7/69, electronic sound, a submarine game with the player looking through a periscope to shoot ships.

Inside, the machine is lit up with a blacklight tube. As the game starts, boats start cruising by across the back of the scenery, and the front glass lights up "torpedoes ready to fire". Look through the periscope and aim in front of the ship, then press the fire button on the right handle. An electronic "whoosh" sounds is made as the torpedo heads towards the boat. There are a series of ten torpedo shaped lights on the playfield that make the torpedo look like it's moving towards the ship (light animation). If the boat is hit the scenery flashes a red light from each side and an explosion is heard.
The machine tracks how many torpedoes have been fired and how much tonnage has been sunk. The goal is to sink as many boats as you can using your torpedoes. The game gives you ten torpedoes per play with bonus torpedoes awarded for a perfect score. The boats also may change direction at any time for more challenge. There are also two windows in the front top glass that allow other people to watch the action as you play. Scoring is done with light box scoring (no score reels).

Quite possibly, this is the game that got me started on submarines back in my youth.

Next up, Mystery Subsim #76, it's all downhill from here.

Well, I was close...

Was my first subsim too.

I used to play the game back in the late ´70s. I was a kid (under five), and my grandpa take me to "Dumbo games" saloon and helped me with the game....

Those were the times...
