[REL] Nihon Kaigun

Hello all,

Yes both mods are fully compatible with each other and with the latest uploaded version of Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate.

I have already modified both support folders with an "updated" install guide & separate readme etc.
Sorry for the confusion all.

Both threads have been adjusted.

S7trikeback, Thank you for you work. I had figured out the order to install. I have been away for a few days. This why I am late to the conversation. I ran into a bloody mini sub. I did not think of the depth of the sub. fired a torpedo at it. The mini sub led the torpedo back at me. lost my periscope due to the impact. That was fun had to surface and use my deck guns on him. Great mod.

Nice work; will definitely install when I run my next US campaign! Might I suggest posting several screenshots and/or videos on Page 1 in your first post? The screens that Kal_Maximus posted are extraordinary, and IMO too many mods get overlooked by people who don't notice just how much work goes into them. You should be proud.

I was expecting them both Nippon Maru & Nihon Kaigun..EaX sound great I will finally be able to finish assembling; if I understood correctly interior compatible vickers ...

Hey Kal_Maximus_U669,

Both mods are fully compatable with FotRSU, same mod team... propbeanie has released a patch to make vickers03 fantatsic interior's mod also fully compatable. If your asking about EAX, I have never used this, but any sound mod "would work" but would alter the atmosphere and tension in FotRSU, for good or for bad, that's for the end user to decide...

Just to be clear, I have not used this mod, I know of it, but I have no idea on what files it deploys.

for interior @vickers ...

it's all just great the multitude of options .. the documentation tidy up ... is to order .. the details on all ... I say excellent ... a must

Hello,


Afaik, I am following the install guide that ships with both mods (Nihon Kaigun and Nipon Maru).


Unfortunately, I am getting a CTD just before the loading screen finishes after launching the game.


The game is currently installed in E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Silent Hunters wolves of the pacific


Launching JSGME shows that I have the following mod structure;
100_FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v1.7p3
Nihon Kaigun v1.1b
Nipon Maru v1.6c
Combined Roster


I have run Large Address Aware.exe that comes with FotRS against sh4.exe (and made sure to check the box).


My install is completely clean - no save files.


Not sure what I am getting a ctd during the loading screen. It only occurs when I have Nihon Kaigun v1.1b installed. Removing the mod and the combined roster fixes the issue - and the game launches without issue.


Im hoping you can give pointers to get my install working. Cheers


Edit: I realise it might not be clear that I have the u-boat missions version installed based on the path the game is in. I have installed the u-boat missions version via steam and not installed the standard version.
