Netcutter, and jumping wires supports have been fixed to the deck.
Sprue stretched on top of he lighter, inserted in the holes, and bulbed at the ends with the hot knife to form sort of bolts. The primer applied. TBC... |

I hope that you are keeping a count of the hours invested in your work. I would really, really like to know, -just out of curiosity- what the cost of this model would be if paying it for the proper value of each hour of work (Not even counting materials!!): It surely is amazing

Now, when you refer to U-Boat 1/72 models you'll must refer to BS o AS (Before Siara or After Siara). I think this model and this thread will be the reference milestone.

Odd question about the AA gun.
In Das Boot I remember seeing a cable or something anchoring the gun in a fixed position when it's submerged. I tried doing a google search but couldn't find any images to show... Are you going to be doing something similar? |

Fair Weather- its not the cable- it is the A- frame. When boat submerge it holds the gun in the horizontal position, and rigid, but on the surface it is unclipped, and stowes flat in the deck. Thats what im going to do- im going to glue it to the deck, an let the gun hung loose as on this picture of U-404:

Preshading.
Conning tower, and top part of the hull were preshaded using Tamiya XF-18 Medium Blue, mixed 50/50 with Tamiya Thinner (X-20A) I thought the usual black will be too harsh under the very light base colour. Bottom of the hull will get preshaded with XF-50- Field Blue. TBC... |
