Next step (and probably last), I will focus to enhance the 12th flotilla at Bordeaux with type IXC/D2…
Enhancements of Bordeaux harbor (traffic & static ships), enhancements of air encounters along different destinations, enhancements of random traffic along all African coasts, and most of all enhancements of South Atlantic & Indian Ocean traffic … not forgetting where we could fuel supply up to Penang! (Whose base will only be a supply one)

IIB U-24 first patrol March 1940 from Kiel, 23 sailing days.





SS Sunrise second hit huge explosion



Had to finish off the Blairatholl with AA gun...he was long to sink.





Plenty ennemy planes along the Brit coasts, and many ennemy DD patrols.

IIB U-24 second patrol May 1940 from Kiel, 16 sailing days.
4 torpedoes malfunction...only one good one! Frustrating...





Interception of Norvegian small cargo West of Stavanger...but 2 Germans small patrollers heading full speed to sink him before me...



Neutrals & Friendly encounters in North Sea





Crossing North Sea can always be dangerous



British East coasts, not exactly good identification, but finally good hit

IIB U-24 third patrol July 1940 from Kiel, 14 sailing days.
Took damages by air attack twice...decided to shorten the patrol after this one ship sunk. Those Hurricanes are damn accurate & dangerous.
For first time ever, after bombs exploding quite close, i was around 20m depth and found myself in the dark for few seconds untill the rescue lights came on Awesome effect!

Default NYGM Enhanced won't save after sinking enemy ship

Hi Fifi
I have tried numerous times to load a saved file AFTER sinking an enemy ship with your mod. I have done the double load...first load but not changing anything on first mission and the second load after making changes. I can save as many times as I want BEFORE sinking a vessel, but can't load the save AFTER sinking. I have tried saving up to 120km from the sinking, but no luck.
Mods:
NYGM enhanced
ARB wide screen

Restore gods eye
depth charge v_2
xxI battery fix
Umark
Late war sensors

Late war snorkle side pipe


The no save, after confirmed sinking is when I use an IXC, VIIC_41, and XXI
I play only from January 1944 to end of war, but have not been able to save anything once a enemy ship is sunk on the first mission.

That’s strange, I can save and reload everywhere anytime here.
That’s said, I don’t know the mods you’re using … maybe something related.
Did you delete all your documents SH3 before starting ?
Also make sure you have correct starting dates (year month day hour minute) in your documents SH3 data Cfg careers name patrols_0cfg …
This is a SH3 known bug, if you have all start dates to 0 (it will not register anything)

silentwayIII,

In looking over your mod list I do not see anything in there that might cause an issue. But not sure what this XXI Battery fix is for.

(I downloaded this mod and if you are using XXI Flak and Battery Fix.7z by
VonHelsching, then this file is older and any updates to the type XXI would have been updated already in Fifi's NYGM Enhanced. I do not think you really need this mod.

I would suggest a reinstall of everything, making sure your Stock game is working before installing NYGM full version. Then installing the mods one at a time, checking to see if that mod is causing the issue. I know that NYGM works just about flawlessly well on the saves.

Hopefully a reload will solve the issue for you.

Default The save worked this time

Fubar
Thanks very much for the suggestion to not load the XXI battery fix. The save worked and I get to keep the 23k of the sunk aircraft carrier I encountered on my latest mission.

Without the XXI battery fix loaded I noticed that the batteries don't fully charge (maybe 5% less than 100%, that's why I have been using that mod) but the chief engineer continues to attempt a full charge. By clicking on the standard propulsion box the submarine returns to the standard speed its supposed to be traveling at minus that last 5% of the charge. I can live with that.

Glad you got things working.

The XXI battery mod issue is beyond my limited capabilities. Maybe Fifi can look at the mod and see where the issue may lie. There is a conflict causing it to CTD on saves.

Sorry guys, don’t have time to look into mods I will never use …

About battery, they all charge 100% anytime except for type II that need calm sea to recharge 100%… don’t ask me why, I don’t know but noticed this strange thing
It’s probably due to GUC submarines, because before it didn’t do that.

IIB U-24 fourth patrol 25 July 1940 from Kiel, 18 sailing days.
Tanker's hull stamped Nederland flag, but in July 40 they are not friendly anymore. Got it between 2 planes crash dives...
