President Xi Jinping and other top politicians have been given domestically produced Covid vaccines, China has said.

The news was released as part of a campaign to increase vaccination rates, especially of boosters.

The deputy head of China's National Health Commission, Zeng Yixin, said it showed the leadership's confidence in the Chinese vaccines.

Health information about these figures is not usually shared with the public.

Mr Zeng said the country's leaders had "all taken the home-grown Covid-19 vaccination jabs".

He added: "This has fully displayed that they attach great importance to the epidemic prevention and control work and highly trust the home-grown Covid-19 vaccines."

Officials are trying to increase vaccination rates, which are considered too low for the country to reopen safely.

Covid infections are continuing to fall in the UK, dropping by more than half a million in a week, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Roughly 2.6 million people had the virus in the week to 26 July, compared to 3.2 million the previous week.

The number of people in hospital with the virus is also decreasing.

But experts warn there is still a lot of Covid around, with data estimating one in 25 people in England currently have the virus.

A video that unfortunately only is in German, but a few people around here may understand it. Why Vitamine D is relevant for Covid 19 and the Brazilian and British studies earlier this year refusing that link are not worth the paper they are printed on. I admit I felt a bit of satisfaction when they explicitly confirmed one or two statements I endlessly repeated on what Vitamine D does for you - and WHAT NOT, and that it is mostly about modulating the immune system to prevent cytokine storms, and that it is not about preventing an infection.

The moral of the story: these virusses have characteristics that make it impossible that herd immunity can ever be achieved with these, they mutate too fast. But then the virius undergoes an evolutionary process as well, and it is not in the interest of virusses to kill their hosts, because that is the end of the story for themselves, too: thats why they tend to become ever more harmless with new strains, but more infectous: they want to spread. Our immune system can learn to handle them, and by now many people's systems have learned, we still get sick, but it does not overwhelm us as easily anymore. Instead of herd immunity we should look for "herd health", a population with strong immune systems. Thos epeople who nget seriopuls sick, get so due to their weak immune systems that kis undersupplied with necessary nutrients and elements that it needs to function properly and do what it was made for.

All in all this supports my current view of that I will not stand in line for a fourth jab. My reasons are that I know notorious constant vaccinations do their own negative side effects to the immune system's efficiency, and that I now feel deep mistrust for the data published - or lack of - by Pfizer and Moderna. I have big issues with the companies now, their data policx is absilutel yunaccepotable. They obviously hide something, I have no doubt. And the initial benefit of doubt has been consumed up. Never no more.

In the second half of the video they also adress the studies from earlier this year that made headlines of that Vitamine D was found to have no effect regarding Covid 19. Nonsense! Bull####! The British even managed to publish their study with 200,000 people without even measuring Calcidiol in serum or any Vitamine D being administered, its a total bollocks "study" (I red the study already before this video, some days ago, its one of the most stupidiest studies I have ever red, in my opinion a crystal-clear commissioned work, with the operative goal of deliberately bringing vitamin D supplementation into disrepute, a study even more stupid than the so-called SELECT study on vitamin E, selenium and men's cancer - that's saying something, because that was already rarely stupidly designed).

A new type of animal-derived Henipavirus has so far infected people in Shandong and Henan provinces of China, official media here reported on Tuesday.

The new type of Henipavirus (also named Langya henipavirus, LayV) was found in throat swab samples from febrile patients in eastern China, state-run Global Times quoted media reports.
