Default Simon from the UK, always had an interest

Hello,
I am Simon from the UK and as mentioned in the title I have always like the technical side of subs, especially when I watch a movie see the inner workings.
When it goes all quiet and all you have is that single pinging noise, then a distant rudder and all hell breaks loose. Nothing more terrifying than being trapped in a long metal tube underwater with people throwing large firecrackers at you.
Also, the technical side. Like in Red October, the russian guy talking about, "turn, on my mark" and counting down to a big dramatic turn. Also the navigation. That has been an interest for a long while. Using a map, pencil and ruler and other gadgets to plot a course, very interesting.
I got the game from Ubisoft with no instructions other than the tutorials in the game. I am currently stuck on the convoy training mission. I have watched a few videos that have me scratching my head more. Is there a basic instruction manual that tells you how it all works. With basic examples. At the moment I am looking at ships, using the number on the dial visible in the periscope/binoculars and then stearing my boat towards that. Then firing torpedos, I am using the auto aim thing. So far I have been able to hit one ship and sink it. I think I have lost that mission five times now. I am guessing the aiming triangle is best at green, then yellow and red being a bad aim or solution.
Anyway, a long into
All the best, Simon
