Default Watch crew not on deck

After evading a depth charging incident, I moved my crew back out of Hogan's Alley and the conning tower slots, and back into their deck watch positions (I am using RFB 2.0 and RSRDC).

After surfacing the sub and going to the bridge I realised none of my crew were there- the bridge was empty. Looking at my crew screen I noticed that the crew in the deck slots were all listed as doing maintenance work, none were on duty (all were greyed out), and none were sleeping.

Is this a bug or have I done something wrong?

*I tried swapping some of the crew members about to see what would happen, and I noticed that if I took a crew member from anywhere other than the active deck shift, and put them into the active deck shift, then his avatar would become coloured, suggesting he was now on station, though still nobody on the bridge, and after a short time he too would become greyed out.

I'd get that ice cream machine working and maybe try a Betty Grable movie.
You know how those American sailors like ice cream and pretty women.

If that doesn't work I'd try going to battle stations and than stand down.
Sounds like the deck watch missed a change of watch in Hogan's alley and maybe that will straighten things out.

Cheers Magic, a restart of the game seems to have cleared things up. Didn't need the ice cream machine!

Isn't hogan's alley an external part of the conning tower? I mean, how can you put them there when submerged?

No, Hogan's Alley is internal crew quarters. SH4 has the problem that when you submerge the game thinks the watch crew are still on the bridge, so depth charges will kill them instantly. Hogan's Alley was created to fix that problem.

Oh, I get it. Serves me right for never bothering to put them there. Strange, I play TMO and never once felt the need of rushing anyone in there. Is that a problem thar occurs only in stock, or other mods? Or am I not getin' somethin'?

See, I just stay away from those guys with the depth charges, and I never need Hogan's Alley, either.

Is hogans alley a mod we can down load here? I hate if I forget to move my deck watch they get killed by depth charges.
