Silent Hunter 5 UI Scale for 4k resolution

Hi all,

I recently picked up Silent hunter 5 again after watching SH3 Bstanko6's videos on youtube and his attention to detail really inspired me to give it another shot.

My only complaint is the UI scale for my resolution. All my dials are extremely small in the TDC and the map tools are tiny. The text is hard to read and the gauges on the bottom of the screen are barely visible.

Is there any way to upscale the UI slightly?

Thanks for the reply, I am at this point just trying everything to rescale my UI (things are very hard to read especially bearings on the compass) but I am more so trying to enjoy the game than complain about problems I am having :p

Now I just wish the voice recognition mod you recommended would work but this is a whole other problem...

Nonetheless, I am trying to play the game at a much slower pace now thanks to you. Really just trying to enjoy the beautiful seas and skies. Despite everything, they built a pretty good game and if not that they built a good opportunity for a community to take over and mod just about everything

Switch to 2560x1440 res. Not a lot of difference in respect to 4k and text and dials more readable

I was searching around for the same thing when I found this thread. It seems like there is no solution to the UI scaling issue in UHD? Theoretically if the UI is fully modifiable, then it might be possible to 2X it, depending on the limitations of the engine. I'd have to take a look at how the aspect ratio submods are made, but if they're just edited images, it could work (we'd just have a UHD submod).

It would be really helpful if someone with existing modding knowledge in this game could let us know what is possible, or not.
