Default HI I am new to SH:iv and modding

Hi does the Ohio have functional ICBM tubes and is there a tutorial on the cruise missiles if not how should i use them in combat

No the missile tubes are not functional. As for the cruise missiles, there's no tutorial that I'm aware of but to use them you have to guesstimate the point of impact and the point of fire.

What SH4 version are you running? What other mods to you have enabled?

I took the Skipjack out on a patrol yesterday and must congratulate you on the work you did. I did have to surface every two days to blow out the CO2 but since that's probably hard coded into SH4 I can't fault that.

The only complaint I would have are the Mk48 adcaps, first I don't think the skipjack ever carried those, second when I tried them on a freighter at 9000 yards, I fired six and they all went in wild directions. I think it would have been better off with standard mk16 and mod in the mk28. Since SH4 does not really have a way to simulate active homing torpedoes.

Correct the skipjacks didn't have Mk48s onboard and yes the modeling of homing torpedoes is inadequate for a Mk48. I have the problem of the torpedoes tracking off as well. They will by default seek out the loudest sound source and if it misses sometimes it will try to re-attack and others times it will just keep on going in a straight line.

Default Q on the tomahawk missles?

on the ohio SSBN sub I cant seem to find the tomahawk missles to use or if I have to buy them at some point. I'm on a win 7 pc the game works and ohio sub mod works fine and I'm not sure what game version I have, I'm just trying to find out where to get them and how to use the tomahawk missles? and is there a sepret mod for the SSGN version of the ohio?

You should have TASM's in your loadout by default if I recall correctly. Not sure how many though. SSGN and SSBN are the same mod as on the exterior they both look the same.

Alright so I made an account specifically to ask this.

And I hope to hell I don't make a fool of myself in doing so.

But are either of these two subs Career playable with stock 1.4 SHIV?
Or would I have to have RFB & RSRD installed first?

Default kinda feel dumb for this

so,ive not seen any type of missile loadout on either the skipjack or the ohio,and the loadout screen looks like a bunch of lines. im running a windows 8.1 with the steam version of SH4 v1.3 or 4,dont remember which. so how do I get the missiles? ive seen a few questions about it, but im still confused honestly..oh,and it would be awesome if you could work the missile bay doors,but I also understand that might still be a lot of work,even though it seems like I small request.

Looking at the mod it looks like the Ohio should have 2 Tomahawks loaded in tubes 3 and 4. And they appear to still be usable in campaign, you'll have to edit your loadout before leaving for patrol by clicking on the sub on the desk.

Looking at the Ohio I'm kinda disappointed in the quality of work I did compared to the newest release. I'd change it but I've already decided to leave 1.4 behind. So I recommend getting the U-Boat Missions addon that has the 1.5 patch included.

So where could I get the v1.5 patch? I mentioned somewhere,dont honestly remember again,that I have the steam version and any time I try to patch and update it,i just get a message from the install program that it cant detect a previous version on my computer. any tips,advice,or anything on how to update it or if it costs anything extra?
