Yes, we have all forgotten how the game originally behaves, since we use a battery of various Mods ... NewUIs_TDC_7_5_0_ByTheDarkWraith, for example

As I had to reinstall the game (without Mods for testing), I noticed that the Obs periscope is nice to handle, you can leave it in high position and
move in the sub, so you can see the mechanism, the lens - it's an interesting element of the decor that disappears with the game + usual Mods:

Oh yes, I have a lot to discover, or relearn! For example, about my Mods placing the periscopes deeper in their tube, so that the heads don't stick out anymore - impossible to remember how I made them! (SH5-Pascal-VIIB-correct_periscope_in_tube)
By the way, are the periscopes thus better protected during depth charges, or not?

PS: I point out a slight modification of the Mod uniform (version 14)
